I believe this is a "Look! There is parking here!" flag. For some reason, I felt moved to position myself so the sun was directly behind the flag.
Locked gate that would ordinarily be a shortcut to Lincoln Center.
Turns out Lincoln Center is under construction. For me this is not really a problem...
