Today's quote is from The Pillow Book, directed by Peter Greenaway, and notable for full-frontal Ewan McGregor:
"Farewells can be both beautiful and despicable."
And, of course, there'll be other people's cats...
The shadowy and mysterious Codename F.
Sadly, Codename F. almost certainly has pancreatic cancer, and the long-term prognosis is not very good (a matter of months, maybe). She is one of my very favorite kitties in all the world, talkative and diabolical and alluring, but she is also 15 years old, and appears be nearing the end of a long and full kitty life, full of love and mischief. Thankfully, she doesn't seem to be in any pain yet, but she's very thin and not exactly what you'd call healthy.

I'm sorry about Codename F, however, as you say, she is 15 years old. She has lived to a decent age. Hopefully, she will be there for many more months for her mom's sake. It hurts, terribly, when you lose a cat. They're like 4-footed, quiet, small humans.
Is this Code Name V's cat? how very sad.
I wish they could live forever, but they don't.
I'm so sorry. We had to put down my dog Christmas before last. It is so hard to let them go, even when it's the best thing to do.
F will be fat and happy, once she has crossed over to the Great Field of Mice and Catnip.
It is such a hard, hard, thing to witness.
Peace be with F, V, and you.
I'm sorry Eli. It is a terrible thing to go through.

Careful. Cats are not good at showing when they are in pain. I put down our wonder spit spot last summer. Broke my heart and I cried like a baby, but it was for the best.
