Aaarrgghh.
Well, I didn't think there were any hotels left that didn't have wireless access, but my family has managed to find one. Actually, it does have wireless access in a "salon" of some sort, but it's very sporadic in my room, so I may only be able to post photos at night when there's less interference. I'll also see if I can find this mythical "salon" of which they speak. Of course, I can still blog from my Treo smartphone (as I'm doing now), but it's much harder to post photos from it. I have some elaborate and unwieldy ideas on how I might pull that off; maybe I'll put those to the test later.Um, other than that, so far, so good. The flight was uneventful, I got some decent cloud photos which I haven't processed yet, and then we all hung out in Grandma's apartment and looked through her photo albums, which appear to date back close to the turn of the century (although Grandma herself does not).

Have you tried the power of prayer to boost the hotel's wifi signal?
Once at a conference I was in a hotel that advertised a "Business Center" where they promised "unlimited Internet access for today's Business Traveller." It was a closet and dialup.
Hope you have better luck in the salon...

Was it a Marriott?
(I'm actually at "Chateau Something-Or-Other"...)
Forget the power of prayer Eli, just find a coffee shop, their wi-fi will work. No offense thers.
I am leaving for South Hero, VT tomorrow for a week of vacation. I will have pictures when I come back, not nearly as good as yours though.
I don't think my cabin comes with wi-fi, but you never know with those people in Vermont.
Thanks, Lizzy, but the coffeeshop probably won't be practical - I have to do all kinds of family stuff.
have fun in VT!
Eli:
If you're at a Marriott, they generally have wifi in the bar and lounge.

You process *film*. You...I don't know...do something with digital crap.
Don't insult us dinosaurs!
:-)
.
Show us some of the OLDEST photos in the album and the ones that most remind you of something YOU would have shot if you were the photographer.
Oh, and please. It's not like it is a demand on anything.

I'm not - I was just making fun of their empty promises of wifi in Philly.

Um, but they're all pictures of *people*.
