Incontrovertible Proof Of Geekiness

As of 10:52 PM, my PC has now been up continuously for 40 straight days, running Windows XP.

The downside is, I still haven't installed my new dual-layer DVD burner because I don't want to break the streak...

Ha! One day, you'll have to. Depends on how much you want to install the DVD burner.

Well, it's not really an urgent need, since I already have a DVD burner, and I don't have any dual-layer DVDs to burn yet.

Oh, in that case, you can probably tough it out another 40 days.

Wasn't there a bug in Windows that would make it crash if it ran for a certain number of hours without restarting?

That sounds familiar, but I don't think it was XP...

Heh heh heh... 40 days without a power outage is actually pretty unusual in itself.
