can i alter blogger to give a customized page? a grey background say.

I'm not entirely sure. You can certainly go the monkeying around route. I just tried it on my own template, and it didn't really have much effect. I have no idea what I'm doing, though.
i did it. got it grey like i wanted.
got some of the type black, the title, and the post titles, but there is a lot of type to change, and i can't find it all, yet.
i could just find another prepackaged template, but i like the blogger one i have. i just want grey, and to be able to read all the type.
Excellent! I'd ask you for pointers if I were ambitious (or design-savvy) enough to make changes...
