No, I'm not going away or anything. But my camera is, now that The New Guy is here. But it has served me well over the past year, and allowed me to re-discover my dormant photographic skills after several years of... creative hiatus. So I just wanted to say, "Respect," and "Thank you."
Fortunately, I believe that I have found it a good home, with someone who loves digital photography almost as much as I do. Godspeed, old friend. Godspeed.
Barring unforeseen circumstance, this is probably the last photo I will ever take with my Nikon D70.
And as long as I'm on a goodbye kick, I think this is also a fitting time to close out the second edition of NYC Photoblogging. There might be a few halfway decent photos left on the table, but I'll let you be the judge if you are so inclined, here and here.
Um... Is that NTodd?
Hey! A bird!
Mmm... Construction equipment...

I guess you're hoping that the UPS guy does't drop your new camera in front of a truck before you can open the package.
:-)
Thanks!
I, uh, may want to buy your monitor...
Good film :)
Is that the walkway between buildings in the 900/1000 block between Penn and Liberty?
No, no - still New York City photos. Should be mostly Pittsburgh from here on out now, though.
Keep the old camera, just in case. You never know what might happen with the new one.
That walkway is excellent. Stairways, windows, urban shadows. Really good to look at.
